My husband and I were visiting Myrtle Beach recently and we stopped off by the Water Scapes restaurant (at the Marina Inn Hotel) for dinner.South Carolina is not generally known for fine dining but I must say our dinner was truly impressive. We started out with Crab cake appetizer which was totally scrumptious. I had a 10oz Filet Mignon and my husband had a Rib eye steak with a Duck Rissoto that was to die for. The chef has prepared a meal that was most excellent in presentation and taste. The staff, and waitress Sharon, was not only professional but welcoming. My highest recommendation.Elena NewmanBayside, NY

The hotel the restaurant is located in is absolutely gorgeous. The restaurant itself has a nice nautical feel with a delicious menu and drink selection! Our waitress was even kind enough to take a photo of us. We will make this a usual stop while visiting family in the area!

Doreen was an exceptional gal to have serving our group of eight. Have never had such great service

Ambiance was amazing...hard not to be with a view of the ocean perched up on the second story balcony. Great poke and the spring rolls - so good (especially the mustard sauce). Beautiful fresh shrimp cocktail, and a cocktail made it a very nice experience.

Very comfortable, welcoming and nice restaurant. Food is very good, Fresh and hot, generous portions and made to order. We were served fast. Great combination of choice between optional breakfast buffet and a la cart brunch. Healthy menu options for the picky ones. Kids under 12 eat free great value for the price $38 for a big breakfast for four. Loved it!

Great service! Our server was very nice and on top of it. He was hovering, but made sure he gave us attention when needed. The food we ordered: scallops, NY strip, shrimp and grits, fish and chips, spinach/arugula salad, kids’ noodles. We had wine...very limited “by the glass†selection. The food is extremely expensive, the choices are limited. My dinner was very good, but very small portion for the price. Three large scallops and a few pieces of potato, pork belly, and sweet potato purée. The other dinner portions were decent portions, but still not necessarily to the price. My husband’s NY strip was the special and he remarked that it was “okâ€, def not worth $40+. Wouldn’t revisit. Just not worth the expense.

A little pricey but the food is good. Had a slightly above average chicken Caesar (chicken was overcooked). Husband was very happy with the turkey wrap. Service was good. Coffee was excellent.

Amazing food!!! Staff was amiable, accommodating and their customer service was very fast. They serve the food in a very creative manner and treat you in a very good way. Everything was as it should be! Overall, I had a great experience here.

Love this restaurant! The menu, while somewhat limited, is still probably more than most people could want to choose from. Breakfast is the best for us, with stupendous portions and everything cooked to perfection. Their coffee is outstanding -- although I've never asked what the brand is. The dining room is beautiful with artwork that's world-class. Prices are far lower than you would expect from a resort inn.

The Waterscapes Restaurant at the Marina at Grand Dunes in Myrtle Beach is outstanding. The food and service are exceptional. The head chef provides food that is of the highest quality, unique and expertly prepared. The Manager, Scott, the servers like Doreen and stephanie, and the morning cook, Gilbert, not only serve you, but will talk to you and cater to your every need. It is unusual to be served so professionally and well.

Didn't eat, but had to rate to type. After Labor Day, there is no brunch/breakfast buffet.

This is a little late but back in October my son who came home last minute from the Air Force decided it was a perfect time to marry his fiancé. We had to throw together a ceremony and dinner for approximately 20 people. I called Waterscapes and they were very accommodating, we had a private room with 2 servers and the food was outstanding! Everyone was so nice and I highly recommend. I will definitely be back!

Great food for old white people with weak digestive systems who cant handle seasonings. Beautiful presentation and atmosphere and kind staff. Pricey but beautiful. Flavorless but romantic.

I would give it 0 stars if I could. Worst service ever!

The choice of food was pretty small and while Google recommends this as a good seafood restaurant, there is not much seafood on the menu.I don't see why would anyone want to go there unless staying at the hotel it's located in. And it shows. The dinner hall was empty while all surrounding places had long lines (and that's how we ended up trying this place).

This is Emmy his wife. Good food & atmosphere & the server was friendly & gre as t.

The restaurant is pleasant and well appointed. Kids eat free at lunch if adults purchase a meal. Prices relatively reasonable for a hotel restaurant. Open early until late in the evening with a breakfast buffet that lasts until 11Am. Recommend.

There is no view of the water and marina. Honestly, it felt as though we were eating in the basement of the hotel. For just me and my husband, our bill was $111 without tip. The food was below average. We had the Airplane chicken. While the chicken was the only item seasoned, it was quite small. The rest of the dish was devoid of any seasoning, and that was the only item on the plate. My salad was separate. My husband and I ordered the same dish, both equally disappointed. We did each have one drink and water. Disappointing dinner overall.

Staff is amazingly efficient, thorough, helpful and knowledgeable. The food was very good in the atmosphere great.

Second time at Waterscapes last night. Wonderful, quiet atmosphere. Server (Sharon) was outstanding. We shared a delicious, small plate crabcake, then each had shrimp & grits. Their version is outstanding, among the best I have had. Shrimp were cooked perfectly and there were about a half dozen of them, plenty for me. Unfortunately, had no room left for dessert.

Visited last Friday, excellent food and service I feel that this restaurant is a hidden gem, well worth seeking out. Small but varied menu, something for most people. Would highly reccomend this for a dinner date.

If you're looking for a good view, this is not the place. It is definitely not as advertised which was very disappointing. The entire experience was very underwhelming and they were very short staffed which unfortunately showed.

Seafood paella was wonderful, our waitress was polite, attentive, and fun.

Grits are real. Food quality is solid. View of water makes it nice.

Undercooked, overcooked... or plain terrible! We ordered crab cake for appetizer- undercooked and it was awful! We also ordered the chicken - something? Had green olive slices straight from the jar- cauliflower was destroyed! Bones in the chicken, the steak had a gravy on top- I’m not sure why the chef chose the green potatoes to stuff under the steak let’s just sum this up- order pizza! And wait for kitchen nightmares episode to air!
